We can control two things: how we perceive the world, and how we respond to it.
A love of art, photography, and film brought me to Los Angeles over thirty years ago. I moved to Venice Beach and pursued a career in filmmaking, spending my life learning how to tell stories with pictures.
In 2015, dismayed by the division surrounding me, I started my Stick Figure Wisdom series, to express complex concepts with simple symbols. These modern-primitive pieces have shown in galleries in Los Angeles several times in the months since I started promoting them, and I was a featured artist in The Hive Gallery’s “Rising Stars of L.A.” show in August of 2017.
Combining the appeal of cartoons with a sense of humor, I explore themes of love, religion, politics, relationships, and what it means to be human.
